Journey for the Stolen heart

In this project, I merged the captivating narratives of Dante's Inferno and the beloved children's book Rainbow Fish to create a unique visual narrative. This story weaves together themes of jealousy, love, and redemption in an underwater world focused on symbolism. The Octopus, representing Hades, reigns over the sea underworld. Becoming fixated on the fish’s boundless capacity to love and care for others, he stole the heart out of jealousy, knowing that by himself, he could never obtain these emotions. The fish discovers his heart is missing, and sets out on a treacherous journey, drawing parallels to Dante’s descent through the layers of Hell. Throughout this journey, the fish encounters many situations representing different moral challenges which force him to confront his own vulnerabilities, strengths, and inner demons.
